ABOUT THE VISION FUND

We are in a very exciting season as a church. We are 1 church in 2 locations: Carindale and West End. God has given our church a mandate to pioneer something new in the city of Brisbane. It is a time of momentum as we move forward toward greater things.

Thank you for taking the first step in the journey of being a part of the Lifeplace Vision Fund. Our purpose goes way beyond just having meetings or going through the tradition of church. Rather, we see the local church as the instrument of God in our generation to bring hope and love to the people of our city, nation, and the world.

We see a city within a city, with multiple generations, multiple nationalities across multiple campuses coming together to be a blessing to the community, helping the poor, influencing the marketplace, strengthening the family, and being a beacon of light to our nation.

The adventure and mandate to build the house of God is amazing. Our hope is that you would join us on this life changing journey.
In my own family, I know what it means to sacrifice financially to be able to provide a house and pay a mortgage. It’s a responsibility many of us understand as we know the importance of owning a house and providing for our families.

In the same way, The Lifeplace Vision Fund is about acknowledging the role of God’s house in our lives. It’s a responsibility we all share to help finance the work of God in our society and nation.

As you sacrifice and give, know that you are an integral part of building the local church, and being a part of making a “Jesus” impact in Brisbane and Australia. On behalf of the entire church family, I want to sincerely thank you for partnering with us to see God’s House flourish.
 

WHY & HOW

The Lifeplace Vision Fund is separate to our tithe. The tithe is the biblical minimum where we give a tenth of our increase or income to God’s House. It is in addition to the tithe and is where the principle of sowing begins: Luke 6:38 “Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap...”

Then begin to ask God to speak to you about how much you should give. Pray that He will release faith in your heart and excitement about what amount to give. Then fill out  the attached form to make a regular scheduled offering to God’s House: 2 Corinthians 9:7 “So let each one give as he purposed in his heart not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.”
